I'm half way through your podcast and you're making me feel pretty good. SO…just want to balance it where we all know Tampa can turn around their game on a dime. They played a lot of hockey and are experienced enough to know when the switch must flip. Saying this, Leafs look balanced for the first time in several years.

No surprises from Tampa. Try to intimidate the Leafs, and get guys in front of the net. I am concerned as to how Leaf's D seems to have trouble either moving them out, or boxing them out. That aside, Leafs showed strength and character. qualities that were lacking last season. The deadline moves look like good ones all around.

The refs and bunting situation has become an absolute joke. He could get cross-checked in the face, bleeding everywhere, and they'll call him for embellishment at this point.
Need to use some objectivity. Say it yourselves that it was a meaningless game, then follow up harping on the officials for working hard to not let it devolve. That officiating was predetermined by the league and that set of refs because TB has been nothing but goons for the last month. Save the animosity for playoffs. That TB goonery has been TB's downfall since all-star break. Three injuries in that game for TB with Maroon, Perry, and Colton. Maybe all minor but let the accumulate.
For all you Leaf Fans. I do not believe that mathews will resign with the Leafs. He is going back to Arizona. I also bet on Leafs to win the cup before Mathews leaves. In fact I am calling for the Leafs to win this year…. Hera is q question for you leaf fans

The NHL officials are notorious for kissing Cup winners asses. Its total bullshit and not good for the game. Leafs need to be more aggressive on Tampa and not play a passive style. while defending .Tampa will cough the puck up but the Leafs are forced to play a more passive game in the dzone. The leafs are not allowed to play there game. Leafs are a much better hockey team then Tampa man. They should've won last year. Only thing though I think is Leafs need to respect there opponent more. When they were leading in playoffs and up by 2 games they thought they had it in the bag. When they lost game 5 in Tampa it showed. I would like to see more maturity with this team in the upcoming playoffs. They should beat them. I think Samsonov will be strong in goal too.
Boys samsonovs numbers are gonna demand 4 mill per season or more for five years. Leafs will trade his RFA rights for pick and let Murray’s contract finish LTIR. Woll and kallgren have shown that they could get through regular season and leafs make playoffs. If they need something for 2024 playoff security they would have the cap room to find it at the deadline.

Knies was reading and anticipating the play offensively and defensively. Definitely a NHL player with room to grow.
