For a game that ended 2 – 1 against the Avs, there are really a lot of positives to take out of this game. While you would have loved the Avs to do a better job of finishing their chances getting one point with a limited roster felt like enough. Best we can do is win the central and play seattle kraken

If you consider everything-Oilers are the hottest team in the nhl,& our biggest west threat-my opinion all along. Avs are still missing 4 or 5 key dudes,including our best player. Oilers still have a shot at #1 seed,& did anybody think the hockey gods would let us win 3 in OT vs them…after 2 prior 2 goal,3rd period comebacks?Of course wed rather 2 points,but you really only NEEDED 1. You clinch 2 seed worst case,& WPG made sure they,& Nashville are playing basically meaningless games vs us. If Bowness isnt a complete idiot-they have EVERY REASON to rest their overworked,& only playoff chance in Hellunbuck. They also happen to have an AWFUL #2 in Riddich. Theres no good reason why he or some prospect wont start Thursday at Ball. Not a guaranteed win,but totally in our hands.
Bottom line,I dont remember every Av OT loss in history,but ive seen/heard the overwhelming majority of them from the start…all things considered-this is the best,& most important-I can remember. Go 2-0,& you get Seattle,& home ice for 2 rounds-though ya might have to go to Alberta for WCFs-im good with that. I gave up realistic hope of the west 1 seed,probably 2wks ago. And i have a feeling St Louis might have something cooking for Dallas,& steal 1pt or 2-in their home,& home. This tie/OT loss wasnt at all like kissing your sister. Shes not related,& while maybe not Meghan Fox like…definitely a hottie in her own right-I was ecstatic once we got to OT.
It was good a defensive game by. both teams goaltending was outstanding it might be a western conference final the winner going to the Stanley Cup final the AVS at full strength will be a lot better
