I feel that I'm 31 and they missed the playoffs my whole 20s. It sucks

8 game losing streak, bad goaltending, and losing to shitty teams like the flyers
I don’t swap games. You win games you shouldn’t and lose games you shouldn’t. But how stagnant the PP became as the season went on and how bad the pk was all season. Special teams was the reason this team isn’t in the playoffs.
Considering the face-offs (32nd again) the PK and the overall defense (even w/ Dahlin-Samuelsson-Power doing so well) it's a wonder they made it this far. That eight-game L streak (no points earned) and losses to weak teams like Columbus/Montreal (in listless performances) killed their chances a LOT more than last night.
Let's not forget Buffalo beat Boston this year unlike many others. But certain lingering bad issues remain: Granato will stay but faces behind him HAVE to go. They've had time to fix things…no dice. Adams has his work cut out for him.
Time for draft talk and Free agency along with needs and moves😊. Yeah Adams missed out on those goalies last offseason but he can still redeem himself this offseason by Trading for Demko and ingot the right trade. Joe your reading my mind about joki not being top 4. Him and Oloffsson to Vancouver for Demko. To upgrade Powers partner it may have to be a free agent only 3 Righties i can see managable is Dumba, Severson and Klingberg. Yesssss scott Mayfield Joeeeeee your reading my mind to a T brother. IMO the season was a HUGE success but the problem isnt goaltending it was the defensive system and the PK. Both were BRUTAL.!!
D coach Marty Wilford needs to be replaced and they need to promote Michael Peca from Rochester to help the forwards.
AGreed they need a veteran stay at home d man to partner Owen Power. UFAs include Scott MayfieldNYI, Gudas FLA, Gavrikov LA, or Soucy Sea. Or trade for Ex Sabres Will Borgen Sea or Josh Brown Arizona . Bye bye to bryson and keep jokiharju as the 7th D man .
Im very comfortable going with Levi and UPL in goal next season . Comrie to Rochester.

Was rooting with the sabres all year </3 might be a kraken fan first here in seattle but the sabres are so fun to watch Dahlin, Thompson, Cozens, Okposo and now Levi? serious team and not even listing all of the stars on the team
The 8 game losing streak was the worst in my opinion. If they just win 3 or 4 of those and they'd be in the playoffs.

Agree a goalie is needed. If UPL is not up here next year he either has to go through waivers or traded. He has a 1 way deal next season.
What was frustrating?
1/ A 8 streak loss
2/ 7-0, 10-4, 7-3 losses at home
3/ 2/3 home losses during 2023
It’s going to be a long offseason. I am definitely sad to see them go. I have felt this way for the last 2 seasons as well, however. It’s been really fun watching this team grow up since GMKA took over.
The month of November and the month of March. Some bad losses in there (but a lot of tough games as well), but those streaks can't happen to a playoff team. Not sure where the blame lies; goalies, injuries, etc. It's been fun to watch all season, and I watched nearly every game, and I'm definitely hopeful for next year. It's going to be a long off season.

Had the Sabres not gone on one of their patented prolonged losing streak they would at least still be fighting for a spot, if not having locked a spot weeks ago.
I think you need 2-3 new defensemen, not just one. Stillman and Joki…sorry…Lyubushkin maybe a good seventh but that's about it. It's a given that Samuelsson's going to get hurt. That's something that was missed.
