I fully cover the NHL playoffs as well regardless of if my team makes the postseason, so if you are a Colorado Avalanche fan, a Winnipeg Jets fan or even an Edmonton Oilers or Vegas Knights fan this channel will be for you. Many people ask me what teams do I hate and my answer is NONE! Some people expect me to hate the NY Rangers or Boston Bruins since I am a Florida Panthers fan, but the reality is even since the NJ Devils and NY Islanders have beaten us in the playoffs, no ill will from me. I will admit however that I am not a huge fan of seeing teams like the Buffalo Sabres and Detroit Red Wings become good and possibly better than my Panthers. Nor do I enjoy the older teams like the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals continuing to be as good as or better than my team, mainly because those teams have been so consistent over the years. Of course, I do enjoy seeing players who we traded do well in other cities like the Philadelphia Flyers and Vancouver Canucks, but I am used to it.
In terms of my Miami Dolphins, I will admit my feelings about the Buffalo Bills, NY Jets and especially the New Englad Patriots are not exactly loving. In addition, seeing teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars and NY Giants make it as far or further than the Dolphins is upsetting. I will admit to NOT liking the Kansas City Chiefs, and having a soft spot for the Green Bay Packers. Just like the NHL, I cover the NFL playoffs as well so even if you are a Cincinnati Bengals fan, or even a San Francisco 49’s or Philadelphia Eagles fan, again this channel will be for you. Teams I am hoping will make the playoffs next season include the Detroit Lions, NY Jets and maybe even the Denver Broncos, just for the fun of it all!
If you have read this far and figured out that I am trying to write a description that gets in as many keywords as possible , you are correct. The algorithm is not my friend as you might imagine after 6+ years of making videos, so I am willing to try every trick in the book!

I love Tkachuk so much…he isnt scared to take the puck and try to score like Huby never did, he was always scared to shoot. I loved Huby too but Tkachuk is so passionate and gritty and isnt afraid to make that risky pass or selfish shot. Im so glad we made that trade
We won the trade. It feels surreal to say it but we did.
When you were looking at comments you should’ve went to the comments of basically any neutral channel or Flames channel to see a bunch of people calling the Panthers morons for making that trade. Obviously in your comments you will have more Panther optimists.

So basically we gave up two liabilities (yes huby is a liability with that caphit) and a first for Tkachuk? It was never a overpay, only the media framed it that way because lets face it Florida is always the little brother.

I wasn't sure about the trade but thought in the end both teams won on it. Panthers wouldn't have been able to keep weegar and hubie past this season and Matthew wouldn't have stayed in Calgary. But oh man did hubie and weegar drop a lot in just a year. It was expected that Hubie would gradually get worse because of his age, but he lost the touch. Or maybe he gets it together in the off season and finds his game again. I certainly didn't expect them being this bad, weegar sort of did. But both no way.
But let's be honest Florida has been a wreck this season as well. We probably wouldn't be here with these comments if NYI and Pens didn't find ways to lose easiest games they could've had and both Panthers and Flames would be outside looking in. But I still put it all on Maurice from Panthers side.. Sure Sutter isn't doing well either, but at least Tkachuk has played well. I still don't think Panthers have what it takes to win the cup, but hey could be as wrong as I was about Calgary. So would've prefered not getting into playoffs, because maybe then they'd get rid of Maurice.
I knew we won when I remembered what hubereau said after the Tampa sweep from the playoffs last year – "Who cares". Yup have fun with the more expensive skiing sessions in Canada hueby 👃⛷️
If you looked at Huberdeau's career, you would know he was playing for a contract… he is a very "temperamental" player…. anyways, its fun to gloat a little bit, because when do we ever get to?!?!? lol. not much
As you know, I discovered your channel because of the trade and I'm better off for it. Congrats on the Panthers making the playoffs and as I said, you just need a chip and a chair. Coming hot is always the better choice and the Panthers are coming in hot, look at my Flames in '04, we were a WC too and made it to the finals (it was in! lol better tech now)…I wish we used Huby better put the right guys around him and no matter what you said about Weegar, what he gave us is what we really needed. Tkachuk was our future captain and future icon and it never happened and it's no surprise to any Flames fan that you guys got the better person (between huby and chucky)… in our defense, we had no choice as we were going to lose Tkachuk anyways and we got got so much more than what we though possible and the trade allowed us to sign Kadri (not necessarily a good signing but without the first no chance), along with Schwindt. Did we get fleeced? No as getting even a bag of pucks would've been even for us, as he was gone regardless as he could have signed the one year and go scott free, Chucky saved us with his desire not to screw us. Now that's out of the way, how are you liking Maurice now? You and Stu were so willing to throw him under the bus a couple of months ago, what do you think of him now? I think getting some key guys back and the emergence of Lyon and the Bob's resurgence has given the Panthers some great energy! I'm cheering for any Canadian team to make it to the final as it'd be nice to see us make it far but I'll be rooting for Chucky and the Panthers! We get all the playoff games here so I'll be watching, do you want them to take on the Big Bad B's or Steady as she goes Hurricanes? 2 wins and 2 losses vs 1 win and 1 loss…you have a chance to perpetuate the president's trophy winners curse….

I think this is a weird flex when our team is clearly way worse after this trade. Sure we made the playoffs by the skin of our teeth, but lets be real. We clinched with 92 points. Thats happened like 3 times in the last 20 years. The team is enormously worse now. Presidents trophy to squeaking in undeservedly is an unmitigated disaster. Not sure why we should be happy about this. I dont see hub getting only 50 points had he stayed and weegar is a top 10 stud. Completely underrated analytics and eye test star. Calgary got worse through no fault of their own. We got worse on purpose.

The Tkachuk trade was like Christmas morning for me from the beginning. He was my favorite player in the league not on the Panthers, and when the news broke that we traded for him it was like the heavens opened up and the angels sang lol

When you look at the trade. Tkachuk didn't want to sign in Calgary, because the Flames where not going to sign a long term contract. So he want a trade. With Weegar and Hubedreau that got caught in the trade. As for who won you can hand down say Panthers won the trade as best player. Tkachuk look like he had a season that he didn't have a down you. The question is can panther still keep win this trade in years to come. What I mean is that when you look at the assets that went to Calgary, the first round and prospect Schwindit.. That could make things take a turn in the trade. That why I say can Panthers can keep wining. Those will take time to see how they change the trade.
Now with Hubedreau. He had a down season with points, that what happened when change of City, team and system. With new coach and teammates. Jaws you are right about that he is not a 100 point player. As watching him all season, he is more a playmaker. That why he is more in a good season a 80 to90 points player. He will not score goals like 40. He more a 20 goal score, he get more assist than goals. The Flames as a team had lot of player that didn't have a great scorers. The question for next season can he bounce back. He is not going any where as he has NTC and his contract will make it harder to move. The difference is that Tkachuk is more a goal score where he can score 40 plus and with assist. It will be interesting to see if he be better in the playoffs.
