Ooooh baby, the NHL playoffs are right around the corner and you can feel it! Last nights Minnesota Wild vs Winnipeg Jets game was a rowdy one that got spicy in the third period. First, Reaves hit DeMelo into the boards hard from behind then, Hartman demolished Ehlers at centre ice which was followed by a nasty Pionk cross check on Johansson. All of this led to an inevitable fight between Reaves and Lowry but it was ultimately Rick Bowness, head coach for the Jets that did the craziest of them all. He went after Wild coach Dean Evason mocking him for being short. Evason, not one to back down, invited Bowness over! It was hilarious. I cover it all in todays NHL hockey recap!

I admit I am a bit biased being a long-time Jets fan but even as I watch other NHL games it seems like the Refs are not only inconsistent but not very good. It also seems the NHL player safety seems to be inconsistent as well.

Bones would have killed Evason little scrawny prick…..But yeah it all started with the Mild hitting jets players from behind and they tried to let the refs police the game, but the refs were invisible so the jets decided to take it into their own hands. Jets are a big big team and once the mild were confronted they started to back off a bit……..Reaves cant to shyt all to Lowry, both times they fought Reaves fell down so its not like Reaves scares anyone on the Jets as long as Lowry is there to own his ass….but everyone knows the Mild are the dirtiest team in the league….but to be honest Reaves should have been ejected from the game if not a 5 min major at the very least for his cowardly hit, especially going after one of the smaller jets, but the refs wanted the Mild to win this game, let alone someone doing that to ehlers who was hustling back to his own end to play defense. I kind of liked the spear to that punks rib cage, it sends a message tot he entire nhl that we can play dirty too if you want, our star players will be protected at all costs. Why are the Mild so dirty ill never know.

The refs were awful.
I'm gonna say it. That was Hartman's lane and he wasn't head hunting. Ehlers should have skated around because regardless this was gonna be a heavy hit no matter how slow we watch and slice it. What WAS intentional was the crosscheck to the ribs and that was spurred on by Bowness.
Bowness a maritimer at 6โ1โ had 200 PIMs in a season in the CHL in the 70โs He has an edge for sure . Heโs 68 yrs old Evason at 5โ10โ Manitoba boy born in Bobby Ckarkes home town Flon Flon boy only 58. Refs screwed the pooch and lost control of the game. The gutless, clueless NHL only gave Hartman a one game suspension so it wouldn't carry over into the playoffs. An embarrassment for the NHL.

I'm sick and tired of the no call from refs enough already refs should get a 5 min major for bad calls . Or get a game or fired there's a lot on a game and to have refs make bad call or no calls is just plain wrong . There has to be rules . Oh right there is rules … I'm hating hockey more and more . Refs change the game there should be fined ,fired or put in the box . Something is up maybe their paid off .
Reaves hit not a penalty because he didn't cross check. Dude went into the boards awkwardly but that's not reaves fault. not cross check, didn't leave his feet, it was clean. The Crosscheck on Johansson disserved a fight and it was super flagrant.

I would add, some dipshit scrub on the Jets roster was scrubbed from this game for the BS on Kaprisov that made him miss 15 games. Wild came out with the big boys every night. Man up n play good hockey or snack Karill in the back of the leg. Canโt do both. You got what you deserved.
