Byram has definitely been more noticeable and starting to play to the hype imo.

Columbus also beat Dallas today avs are only 7 points back of Dallas with 3 games at hand. Gotta get another win vs. Edmonton tomorrow
Bowen looks like a completely different guy since he came back. He looks super confident
Byram is every bit as talented as any of the more hyped young,nhl dmen. He just plays on a deeper defense (when healthy)-so he gets overshadowed a bit & hasnt often been healthy himself. But Power,Seider,Bouchard,the kid on Philly…the kid whos out for the yr in Anaheim,& theres a few others im forgetting-Ill take a healthy Bo over any of them.(knock on wood)
And he has something those guys dont-a Cup ring,& he was far from just a passenger…he played a somewhat important role after Girards injury. People say he hasnt lived up to the hype? That is bs…he just hasnt been able to stay healthy. When hes played,its obvious thst dude is special. Not just good dman ceiling-he has SUPERSTAR potential.
And the Avs quietly are creeping up on WPG,(4 pts back,with 1 game in hand)-& even Dallas.(7pts back,but 3 GAMES IN HAND!) Its not totally neccesary,but home ice is prefered…& it wouldnt take anything close to a miracle for them to end up the West 1 seed again-despite the offseason losses,ridiculous injuries,& some entitled fans/media-completely ridiculous expectations,considering the losses,& more so the injuries.
If this version of Bowen Byram can continue to grow and mature, it'll make it a little easier when Devon Toews walks in free agency
