Ughhhh I absolutely hate the pirates and all their owner stands for. Greedy money hungry loser that has to give away tickets and free stuff just to get any people to come to the games. I actually like baseball but I told myself I would never support the team until they actually showed that they are willing to try to win. I am 32 years old and the Pirates have been rebuilding. Basically my whole life, so yes, it’s very disappointing. I have more faith in the old washed up Penguins. Lol
All it took was hiring a former flyer to run a rivals operations.
I understand you mentioning sid and i agree, he could've done more off the ice to help the team by addressing their bottom 6, but ultimately I just feel bad for him, Geno, and Tanger. each one of them gave their all on the ice expecting this to be one of their last few shots at 4 cups and now their year is wasted because a bottom six that couldn't make an impact. the core deserved better
The ownership will only feel compelled make changes if, and only if, fans stop buying season tickets, merch, etc. But will fans actually do that? Doubt it. Have fans stopped buying in with the NHL with the clown show commissioner that is Gary Bettman? Nope (and I am not exempt). I certainly agree that the GM is the most to blame in how the team is structured. However, I also have heard it said that every coach has a shelf life. Even good, even great coaches can and should be fired once a team stops buying whatever it is a given coach is selling. I sensed Sullivan hit his expiration date even a few seasons ago with the 1st round exits. It doesn't seem fair or even rational but much of player performance in sports depends on psychological and team culture factors that are not entirely quantifiable.

But these penguins are truly heartbreaking disappointments I knew it a couple months ago when I was talking about they have won it so many times it’s no longer a big deal to them. I know you said it they care, but their actions speak differently you point out the third and fourth line, well deserved but what about the atrocious goaltending no thought about replacing that the most important player on a hockey team but whatever here we go Steelers here we go let’s go Pirates let’s go Pirates
