Bro everybody has been late to a team meeting at some point, if you want to scratch the guy for that then fine, go ahead. Accountability and all, he messed up. Personally I think thats a bit much for a one time oopsie but hey, I still understand it. But its never acceptable in todays game to dress a player and not gie them any shifts. In todays game where stats are so important you cant go and screw a guy over like that. Not acceptable and frankly a massive overstep for being late to a meeting.
Being late is being late. You cannot make an exception when a rule is a rule. Furthermore, M. Gervais (ex equipment manager for the Habs) did comment about the incident. He confirmed that Jo Drouin is always waltzing in too short for team calls and that there were numerous incidents with prior coaches. This was not a first time event, people. This is about someone who disrespects the rule book and heck, he deserved what he got. Happy to know that we should, I repeat, should not see Jonathan Drouin wearing the Canadien's jersey next year and I will not miss him for a New York second…
The media is the main reason why players don't want to play in Montreal. The insane Drouin overblown is a mess.I stop reading and watching them.

I don’t know all the background here, so whether this makes sense to me depends on the history. If it was really the first time, and it was really two minutes, then seizing that opportunity to make an example of somebody definitely sends a message, and that message is “earning respect is hard so I’m just going to try to punish my way to it instead.” But who knows, if there’s more to it, then yeah at some point you do have to crack down and that’s only fair.
