  1. Oh wow!! That’s a big move!! Hope Quick is happy with this move to Columbus!

Edit: Oops…Hope he’s now happy in Vegas! Didn’t see the double traded info.

  2. I'm a NJ Devils fan and Quick was in my opinion the biggest single reason for LA's Championship in 2012. Yeah there were lots of factors, they had a great team. Formidable. But Jonathan Quick was like a a Gumby toy they way he was able to flex and make stretch moves. It was Martin Brodeur's 5th appearance as a starting goalie in a Stanley Cup Final series and both guys performed miracles but Quick really earned that championship. At this point in his career, I'm not sure how many wins he has left in his bag of tricks… King's management feels the same way obviously.

  3. Robitaille & Blake retire their numbers, what narcissists. Old Kings mgmt wouldn't have blind sided Quick.

  4. wow lucky luc and blake 2 fugging shift bags sure hope when he goes to the HALL OF FAME Quick goes in with a Las Vegas jersey FTK

    oops FLR…FRB…FTK

  5. This move could come back to bite them in the ass, in playoffs your goalie is huge, but they got a good one, we'll see, doesn't make sense to me

  6. We need Dean Lombardi back in the Worst Way, Luke Robitaille was a great player. But he and Rob Blake are no Dean Lombardi. Maybe there should be a concussion protocol for GM’s.

  7. Really sounds like the Kings were ripe on retiring Quicky at the end of his contract but sounds like Quicky wanted to add on a couple more years. Probably not with his numbers as of late though.

  8. What happened to the GM having discussions with players before the trade cycle starts, getting to know how they feel about being on the trading block?

  9. i honestly hope Vegas keeps Quick and we meet them in the playoffs and they sweep us as redemption. Quick deserved better but we gave Brown a statue.

  10. i understand it's a business, but this is a bit beyond that and very disrespectful to the legend. I remember 07/08 seeing Quick play in a preseason game against AZ where he stood on his head, has been the hero of the team since. they did him dirty, hope he beats them w Vegas.

  11. In the end players whether beloved or not get traded or sold all the time i.e. Wayne Gretzky. Assets move for the betterment of the team and its fan based. It might sting now, but give or take 10 years let bygones be bygones.

  12. It was a difficult decision for sure but it improved the kings.

I think if quick would have retired end of the year they wouldn’t have traded him. But he wanted to continue to play so might as well get some value in return.

But regardless he will get his jersey retired as a king
