What a fucking season. I would’ve been satisfied with just fighting for a playoff spot until Game 82. I never expected to have the greatest regular season in team history. Now finish the job and make this the greatest turnaround in NHL history.

So in hindsight, Ruff was definitely testing different lines while resting a few players. I wonder if he was also giving Blackwood his last chances this year. His contract is over, and they have to decide who is going to be the regular #2 in the playoffs and next year. I hope it’s settled.

Listen, I don’t want to pile on Blackwood or blame him for things that are not 100% his fault, but it seems pretty clear to me that he should not play in the playoffs. It should be V-tek and Schmid, period.

Semi new NJD fan here. Why is everyone NOT dogpiling on blackwood? This may be one of the worst performances I’ve seen in sports? Every other shot to him was a goal and the minute he gets pulled 0 goals allowed. Besides the Boston game this is pretty much how his games go every time he starts
So who’s job is Luke taking in the playoffs? He’s gotta play right?
Also, regardless of performance, Schmid’s gotta be the backup right? The team just plays better in front of him and Vitek.

Together, the Hughes + Hamilton pair were on the ice for 1 xGF and 0.38 xGA.
