Can’t think of a better way to end the season.
To the draft lottery we go!
It’s finally over. Time to hope for some nice balls.
Great end to the year, solidifying 5th last and it was just a really fun game
I’m so ready for the future of this team.
Great last game to finish the season.
That’s all. Everyone get healthy and bring it next year
Kim Jong Bettman give us Bedard
Mountain pope seal of approval
See you all may 8th ❤️
Despite injuries and general shittyness it was still an entertaining season. You could tell the boys had fun most nights. Can’t wait for October.
Good result. I really hope this team is good next year. It’s not fun rooting for a tank every year
That was a conflicting game for me.
On one hand: glad for the tank.. On the other: fuck the bruins.
Good luck Dru
Fingers crossed for the draft.
Been a wild ride this season, really hope we have a great off-season and can get back on track next year.
After the game I went right to tankathon did one simulation and we got 1st overall, I think it’s a sign haha.
Don’t smile because it’s over, cry because it happened
Nobody giving the mic to Cole or Carey is blasphemy
Boston played sloppy, which kept things fun (or nerve-wracking, from a tank perspective), before we got the necessary L.
And Carolina beat Florida, insuring that Florida gets the toughest matchups and its pick will be 17OA unless it wins two rounds against Boston and Toronto/Tampa Bay.
Condotta’s goal was a lovely moment, the Pitlick/Pezzetta goal was hilarious, and Suzuki tying Caufield was nice.
Who needs Bedard or Fantilli anyways when we already have Lucas “literally better than Gretzky, McDavid, Bedard and Crosby put together” Condotta 🙌
On a real note tho, thanks to all you beauties for all the great GDT banter and thanks to the mod team for all they do. See you all on Draft Day!
A most entertaining and season finale.
I hope the showrunners recast the medical staff next season.
On another note Caufield looks good in a red suit.
Good riddance to that season. I really don’t want any more of those. Let’s hope we start trending upwards next season. And here’s hoping for a great draft!
Provestov in nets for arizona. With his 880 save percentage
Fuck you and I’ll see you May 8th
Guys I’d be happy no seeing in a Habs jersey next year, in no particular order:
* Hoffman
* Wideman
* Tierney
* Armia
* Edmundson
They made the last game so compelling in such a great way.
This was a season
I have never seen a bad team have this much fun, chemistry and camaraderie. This team is building something interesting. Just a little patience, but we’re on the right path.
So Edmundson finishes the season at -29. Management is likely aiming for one more tank season, especially if nothing changes on goaltending front. Eddy, Savard, Wideman, Allen, Monty and Hoffman all key pieces of next year’s tank. Likely another bottom 5 season coming before “rebuild” is done.
Condotta being interviewed, he sounds like a slightly derpier Gally.
Montembeault a contribué au tank à souér. Autant il a été excellent a plusieurs reprises, autant il a eu des matchs où il accorde trop de buts. J’adore le gars mais je sais pas si je le vois comme un no 1.
Well that’s the season. I certainly checked out for most of the ending and applaud those who stayed around.
I’m not as positive with next year as some and I think the injuries, more so the ones hitting our younger players, is a lot worse than it’s made out to be. The development time was missed. I see some positives from this season, but I don’t have high hopes (as in actually something to watch later in the season next year)
Helluva season. And I’m using the more obscure literal definition of “helluva”.
Have fun watching the off-season antics of Huges and crew! See you in September.
So it comes to an end. Regardless of how we ended up, I’m proud of our boys, and proud to be a Habs fan. We fought tooth and nail until the bitter end. It was a sad moment leaving the Bell Centre tonight and glancing back over my shoulder as the ice no longer became visible, but I know in 6 months time I’ll be electric again to see our boys well-rested and healed skating back onto the ice.
Gentlemen, it’s been an honour participating in this subreddit with you. Have an excellent summer, and see you all ready to go this October. Merci beaucoup à tous!
