    the game was imperfect, but the night was
    after tonight the final piece of one of if not the very greatest pro sports dynasties of my lifetime shall be taken off the board
    before Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane were drafted the Chicago Blackhawks had three Stanley Cups
    and since it's been three more
    Kane missed his buzzer beater
    Toews missed his breakaway
    it's almost better that they missed
    because they will BE missed

    thank you for allowing the Windy City the bask in the glow of excellence it was missing since Jordan and Pippen were a duo in the same vain
    and who knows, maybe another side of our city can seek that out instead
    maybe Justin Fields and DJ Moore play the role of dynamic duo next
    perhaps it'll be Dansby Swanson and Nico Hoerner
    or possibly Dylan Cease and Liam Hendriks
    no matter what the future hold, however, you have defined our past
    thank you, forever
