Well, I’ll be honest. I was more checked out on the team this year than I have been in years. Didn’t attend a single game, and not even because I was staging some sort of protest, but because there was really nothing that drew me to do so.
This team is in a hole a mile deep, but if I can put some artificial romantic spin on this is that there’s a slim chance that we look back at this season as a turning point. The new regime is here. Let’s see what they can do. Someday, I want this team to be the *Philadelphia Flyers* again.
My favorite thing about this season was when our coaching staff decided to try this new thing where we play 2 D, 1 F in overtime and then we proceeded to go 3-12 in overtime.

What a good note to end on. Wins for both our goalies, OT victories which have been a struggle all year, milestones and career highs for a few guys, a good sendoff for those not returning… And I’m actually looking forward to seeing what Briere and Torts will do rather than dreading what Fletcher will do.

We finished the season with 75 points.
I choose to believe this is an omen that, the decisions made this year have set us on a course where we can finally put 1975 behind us.
TK scoring #30 in 30 seconds was like a Giroux move when he decked Crosby then scored in the playoffs.
This team finished with a worse record but a better on ice product than I thought they would this season, so basically a win-win.
Going to be a lot of big changes coming the next 3 months, let’s just hope they’re good ones for the first time in a while
