Wish the nhl would let the rangers play on the first night for once.

It was probably the Rangers who requested this. The Knicks had game 3 and 4 on Friday and Sunday scheduled before the NHL season was over. Leagues work closely with teams to accommodate the needs of arenas.
MSG will be very busy this weekend as the Knicks play Friday and Sunday, and Billy Joel plays Saturday night. Instead of having them both play Friday and Sunday it spreads out the changeover workload a little more evenly over 3 days if the Rangers play Saturday afternoon.
Both leagues also want to maintain a 4 game and 4 game balance every day, so Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday make the most sense.
I know it’s easy to think they are ignorant but contrary to popular belief alot of thought goes into scheduling across both leagues.
Tuesday is my and Zibanejad’s birthday. Would be a great b-day present to come out with a statement win.
