it's honestly complicated. Brad has drafted some young players for us that we can definitely build around for the future. But at the same time, he has made some costly mistakes.
1. Not locking up Chucky long term in 2019
2. Trading Johnny prior to last season if it wasn't clear on whether or not he was going to stay
3. After Johnny left, trading to Huberdeau out of desperation instead of blowing the whole thing up and rebuilding. I'm not a guy who supports taking, unlike some fans, but this core wasn't getting it done. Only 2 playoff series wins in 8 years.
4. All of the mistakes in FA you guys mentioned.
You Guys sure ain't in no hurry to take off your Rose Colored glasses are you? The Flickers will be a mediocre hockey 🏒 team for the next decade so have fun trying to wrap your heads around that fact and trying to explain it!
I think Brad is way better than he’s getting credit for. Tanev, Lucic/Neal swap, Lindholm, Hanifin. Letting Bennett and Gudbranson go were the right calls. Draft picks as noted have been good. I think we loose Brad UNLESS he gets a longer leash from Edwards.

Oh, how quick the internet forgets and obviously he deserves an extension and if you're going to replace him who is going to better?
GM’s job is to build winning teams. His teams get in playoffs every other year and the first one he gets credit for was Feaster’s team. 5 coaches in 8 years. Yes, players need to play but he picked these guys. If Flames fans want a meh team that plays playoff hockey every other year for one series, by all means, re-sign him. I thought the last extension was too much

You wouldn't be saying any of this if they made the playoffs and if hubbie and Kadri had 20-30 more points. Why isn't anybody talking about gaudreau being on a crap team, minus 30 this year and panthers go from president's trophy to barely making it in? Everyone's an expert when it's hindsight 🙄
Brad was in such a touch spot with Huberdeau. They weren't going to talk contract during the season, so it was either sign him or walk him to free agency just like we did with Gaudreau. The thought of losing him must've been terrifying after losing Johnny and Matthew like that.
China has a lot of "One child men," to lose …one child deal, will come back to haunt them …I said so, few years ago 🍁🌲

In 2014, if the Flames picked 1 spot earlier, Draisaitl would probably be wearing red and yellow, and Bennett would probably be playing for the Condors. Altho, with the 2nd pick, Buffalo passed on Leon and took Sam Reinhart. 😯 I just hit the floor with my hands in the air saying YES, YES, Thank you, Lord. We've got Leon! (women in the Oilers twitter community nicknamed him) 'Leon you hot bitch'😂 Google it and see how many signs and billboards have picked up on it.😅
