  1. The tradition of great Chicago captains continues. A great career comes to an end. Much respect, Captain Toews. You did Chicago proud.

  2. I remember watching him in the shootout during the world junior championship thinking he’s going to do amazing things in Chicago.

  3. Maybe it's a Montreal thing, but his standing ovation should have been at least 5 mins long. Toews is a great player, hope he finds a great home for his last few contracts to win one last cup.

  4. bruins and avalanche fan here congrats on a amazing career i wish you the best of luck

  5. I was at his first game and the game against Colorado with the amazing move / goal. Truly sad to see both Kane and Toews are no longer Hawks, thanks for the three cups and bringing Chicago hockey back to the championship level. I hope the rebuild can reach the levels that you brought the team to, not sure that will be possible.

  6. Hard few years as a Hawks fan, but the last two especially hard. Kyle Beach coverup. Pat and Eddie and Kane and Toews gone. Gapski has been with the hawks my entire life (and a few extra years). Truly is the end of an era

  7. It was truly amazing to watch Toews, Kane, and the rest of the group from the dynasty era. I haven’t agreed with the organization for a long time, and Kane and Toews were the last things connecting me to the Blackhawks. Hometown pride isn’t cutting it for me anymore, and I am leaving my fandom behind as these two legends move on. Best of luck to Toews, and thank you for an incredible ride in Chicago.

  8. John – Don't say your not worthy of this. You are every bit worthy. 🏒🕳🚨 Would love to see you join The Wild or Ramgers. Better yet go to his place of birth WINNIPEG & become a JET.
