I remember this guy being signed for $3.75M with Gudbranson last year and everyone was just shitting on GM for a guy who ‘couldn’t play hockey’. Played a heavy set game last year with 44 and put up some numbers this year too despite taking odd penalties or blatantly losing defensive coverage. Ah fuck it. Now he’s a fan favourite
When we traded for him everyone hated it. Including myself. And he was awful the first off season. Now he’s one of my favourite Flames and a bargain. Crazy I hated the Gudbranson too and that turned our great for a year. Reminder that the online critics (myself included) are not always right.
