Looking back at Debrincat to Ottawa, the trade was three pieces in 7OA and 39OA in the draft last year and then a 3rd round pick in this years draft. I think the Wings have the assets to make a deal work wether it’s Draft capital and or Prospects.

Depends on the asking price between the trade cost and his contract demand. I’d be wary of long term, high cap hit with Debrincat’s inconsistency.
Ottawa seemed like a good landing spot. I wonder what’s behind refusing to sign there, assuming it’s true.
Honestly with his new baby boy and then his family all being in the area this would be an enriching environment for him to be great. Pay the man what he wants.
