I used to love your videos. Lately it seems like you should change the name to "Steve's favorite player's and team's hat-picks". This year it feels like you have missed SOOOOOO many AMAZING plays <cough – from teams you don't like>. I get that you have to compress an entire week's worth of videos into 12-15 minutes, but some of these choices are just mediocre.
I used to get so excited after seeing a sweet play knowing that I would get to hear you talk about it. You were so diligent. Now, I rarely see them. Instead I get less than average breakaway goals because one player is a defenseman and the other player had an extended shift coasting around in overtime (and is a leaf). Some teams have their stars out for almost the full 5 minutes as their strategy in OT. I have never heard you talk about them when they score after a lengthy shift.
I am honestly super interested in your selection process. I know you have highlights from all Leaf's games tabbed (as expected, you are a fan). How do you pick the rest?

12:57 steve it's obvious matthew tkachuk is just like brad marchand, they are both just average 3rd liners. Their biggest strengths are being paired on lines with actual good players that require the other team to double down on. E.g. Pasternak without bergeron or marchand still an amazing lethal player, bergeron without pasternak or marchand still an amazing lethal player, marchand without pasternak or bergeron you would easily confuse him with any 3rd 4th liner form any team. Tkachuk is exactly the same.

I feel like people forget that the Calgary fans quite literally resorted to voodoo and witchcraft to attempt to throw the kid off his game last year in the playoffs (maybe that backfired on this for this season). Jake was simultaneously revered and reviled by Calgary, Markstrom played UP to him! Don't count Dallas out. They had Jake last year and needed the scoring touch, this year, they have both.

Vancouver really needs to get their stuff together if they're ever going to be a truly good team again. They have some pretty decent players it's just they scramble about and don't do it right! There is no real leadership on the team. Ever since the Sedin twins left, it hasn't been right. This is coming from someone from Vancouver(I'm mainly a Leafs fan).

As a Blackhawks fan, I like that Stalock can make those types of unbelievable saves. Then the Blackhawks play the Flyers, and they go to overtime. Then, Stalock gets juked out by Ivan Provorov, who scores the game-winning goal in overtime. It makes me mad that Stalock made the Windmill save, but he couldn't make the save to give the Blackhawks another chance to win the last game Jonathan Toews will play as Blackhawk and help them have 1 more point than the Blue Jackets. Now both teams are tied in points and now the Blue Jacket just have to lose in overtime against the Sabres and they will end the season with 1 more point then the Blackhawks. I do not want that even though that will mean that the Blackhawks will get a better draft pick than the Blue Jackets. Also, Mrazek had 10 wins and Stalock had 9 wins this season. Also, Jaxson Stauber did better than Mrazek and Stalock, being 4-1-0 in his first 5 starts as a Blackhawk. The good thing is that the Ducks lost to the Kings and the Ducks end their season with 58 points so that means the Ducks were the worst team in the NHL, which I am glad about. Probably Ivan Provorov juking out two Blackhawks defensemen and Stalock for the game-winning goal in overtime will probably be in next Tuesday's Hat Picks
