They just waited for the season to end to announce Lavi won't be offered a new contract. Don't think it had to do with the Pens firing most of their upper management at the end of their season.
Lavi has a reputation for overstaying his welcome.
Caps need a coach to maximize each player's strengths, as oppose to having everyone trying to fit into one style of play.
As long as they don't hire Dallas Eakins as the next HC…
I can't say that I am surprised really. I personally feel that Gerard Gallant would have been the better option when the coaching position became available 3 years ago. I’m not surprised and I thank him for everything but it was time for him to move on
I know he had an aging roster compared to Reirden but he had a worse record by far. Surprised he wasn't gone after last season.
