A very well spoken interview by DJ, If this is the end I wish him all the best and look forward to whats next for the sens. If hes around next year, i am exited to make a good push for the playoffs. #GoSensGo
Before the comment section gets flooded with DJ haters, I just want to say that this team did surprisingly well considering all the injuries. I know every team has injuries, but the Sens were hit harder than most. Not only in man-games lost, but in the calibre of players missing from the lineup.
DJ deserves a chance to coach a healthy version of this team to start next season. If they're not in a playoff spot after the first month or so, fine make a change. It's well known he has the support of the players in the room, and they know better than the fans what is needed.
I've seen a lot of comments on other videos about how no coach has missed the playoffs this many years and kept their job. It's shocking how many people don't understand context. It's pretty uncommon for a team to tear it down to the studs with the aim of a 4-5 year rebuild like the Sens did. Most teams try to rebuild on-the-fly aka restructure rather than rebuild. This was the first season that reasonable fans could have expected them to make the playoffs, and they got close. So some people say that makes DJ 0 for 4, but I think it makes him 0 for 1.
Thanks for giving us a good season, and leading a great group that will be entertaining and hopefully cup champions for the first time since 1927. Please come back.
At least for one more season. If they don't make the playoffs next year, then I would not be mad at management for any decision they might make. Go Coach DJ! Go Sens Go!

Bring back DJ. He's an excellent communicator and the players respect him.
