I love Noah Cates. He’s my 1st jersey purchase of the new set. Hope he changes to a better number but I’m guessing he just keeps 49

Man. Everytime I see stuff like this it really puts into perspective just how far away we are.
There were 38 point per game players in the NHL this year. We had one, he only played 60 games (Konecny), and barely cracked the point per game threshold. Hayes was second at 0.67 ppg.
Hope Cates sticks around, he’ll be a good depth guy. But man, we need so many more pieces for that top 6.

Cates is probably the most underrated player in the NHL right now. His defensive metrics are off the charts for a rookie. To end up a positive player on this team is pretty exceptional.

Cates being +3 on this team and only 12 pim for 82 games is awesome. I’m looking forward to seeing him grow next year
