Asked how long it took for him to feel normal after getting hit on his scooter in Detroit, Rasmus Andersson said, “I’ll let you know when I feel normal.” Said he’s been in pain every day since and still deals with the mental and physical effects of it.

Imagine how the car that hit him must feel.

Jokes aside that sucks. Car accidents can have long lasting impacts even with how modern and well built the technology we have today is.

Razzy is becoming one of my favourite Flames. Hope he stays for a long time.

very sad to hear, anyone who’s been in a similar situation can relate to this

I still flinch and jump when I hear a car revving an engine or squealing its tires and I didn’t even get injured (knocked into deep snow) when a car hit me 20 years ago.

I was a passenger in a car which rear ended some dude at a red light. Crash wasn’t bad but the airbag fucked me up and I was out of commission for a bit more than a month. I still flinch a bit when I’m the passenger and we’re slowing down to a car in front of us. That was 9 years ago.

Can’t imagine getting full on hit by a truck with no external protection would feel

He was knocked completely out for a bit. That’s a very serious brain injury.

So as far as liability and whatnot… should he choose to make a claim, and I would imagine he would, will the insurance company factor in his playing a week later into compensation? Like would they use this to try and pay less for it.
Would the team make a claim as well?
Like how screwed is this driver?

Uhh, isn’t this what Monahan said? That didn’t turn out so well.
