Luka should be taking a brunt of the blame. On a good day he should be a small forward but because of his lazy defense he was moved to point, he should have the length to be a good defender. Then his off ball movement is non existent at best

Kyrie isn't a winning player. Luka is going to have to change a lot for him to win a chip. Players don't like playing with players like him. Also I've never seen a player whine quite like he does, maybe LeBron James but I think Luka even beats him

Mav is a broken team now, I would said they really need a few brave experienced Vet in the locker room. Luka like a baby keep complaining and no one slap his face to stop him😂. Their office need to fill up the defense bar of the team, their defense just so bad. They should hire Frank Vogal to assist Kidd if possible.

Problem w Mavs is they also lack in the front court. Wood is nice but they need a shot blocker who can at least give them 10-12ppg. They also need wings who can defend. They might as well need a new team
I think the Mavs should try sign Oubre Jr. He scores a bunch and can defend. By all means they should try keep Kyrie given what they gave up to get him or at least try to do a sign-and-trade

As a Mavs fan, we all know the problem is the coach and his stupid lineups, the Kings are also a bottom tier defense, but why are they in the Top3? Coz the coach plays big men who can rebound, while Kidd insisted playing Powell as the starting Center 30+mins and gets murdered every night, Don't get me wrong, Powell is a starter level Center…………………………Probably in Taiwan
Think they definitely made the right decision on sitting out its players on their last game. They already felt kyrie will not commit to them next season or maybe they already talked to him whats his next move after. They rather get a top 10 draft than play the playoffs and jus be a fodder + kyrie uncertainty.
Front office should’ve made more trade to get defensive guys but decided to keep THJ and Dwight Powell smh

You can trade anybody on the roster but Jaden Hardy. I think if you hold onto him he could be a corner stone to your bench in a few years
People kept on blaming Luka or Kyrie or both but it's not their fault. It's the Mavs. The roster is so poorly constructed, none of them have any defense at all, let alone the 2 least defensive players in the world in Kyrie in Luka. Are they blameless? No. Luka really needs to step up his game defensively, at least be passable enough and play team defense. He also needs to work on his body. Now, being big isn't bad, look at Dwight, Boris Diaw, and Shaq (during Orlando and his first few years in LA), using their body to be battle against other bigs. But that isn't the game today anymore. It's gotten faster, yet the Mavs got stuck with that mentality having a bad fast break offense and taking too much time in possessions in their half court set full of set ups. Plus their defense both half set and transition defense is atrocious.
Largely due to Luka, who rarely runs the floor and since he's the main ball handler, they rarely run. Plus his defense is at times non-existent. Luka needs to be in better shape.
He's already got the dog and winning mentality in how he talks trash. He also needs to temper himself a bit more. He came from Europe who has a harsher environment, so he shouldn't be too bummed with bad or no calls.
He needs to be the Luka of Europe again but better. The Mavs also needs to completely retool and find good 3 and d players.
That Kyrie trade had one major flaw and that's trading DFS. I said when it happened, they should've kicked out Hardaway, he's useless. Too streaky to be useful and he has 0 defense. DFS even though he's not a good scorer, he can still hound defenders with his length.
Now I'm not saying DFS would've saved the Mavs, but it wouldn't have hurt. They didn't need Hardaway, Kyrie and Luka with their offensive prowess can shoulder his load anyway, and at least by that idea, DFS can help lower the opponent's scoring chances that their offense can offset their defense a bit. They also need a better defensive coach btw
Kidd is trash. Cuban is Jerry Jones 2.0 and Luka needs to be better. Kyrie deserves no blame whatsoever.
In all honesty… it’s not that bad, they have a top 5 player and a legit 2nd star. They now have a couple good young players, a top 10 pick, another future first, and some expiring contracts to build around them. It’s not like they need to trade for a 3rd star, just some D and rim protection

I doubed Ky would help the Mavs before he played with Mavs but seeing how the trade ruined the Mavs was not anticipated
