It’s awkward that they felt it needed to be asked. They’re team-mates, they don’t need to be best friends

I swear reporters are such shit starters lol

Are the guys asking the questions friends with all their coworkers? It’s fine to nit be buddies if you still get the job done.

How is this awkward? They donāt have to be friends, but they do both seem to want to grow closer and have a stronger bond than just being teammates. The media is making it awkward by trying to force some bro-mance between them.

I had to google to make sure, but JT Miller is wearing a hat from a brewery in Ontario. Wellington Brewery. They arenāt the biggest, so I wonder where/how he got it

Vancouver Media fucking blows

Itās almost as if they both have one thing in common, theyāre both good at hockey.
Good job to the boys for fielding the gaslighting questions.
āNo, do you?ā -EP40 not taking any shit

Great answer though, and likely 100% relatable to anyone that’s ever gotten off on the wrong foot with someone who is now a good friend.

It’s pathetic he’s the only Canucks reporter for TSN. Listening to him whine about Hronek was so enjoyable

I see them like Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman. Great co-workers with major respect for each other but just not actual friends.

Look how fast Farhan Lalji retreats as soon as he gets questioned. I love how people are finally standing up to shit reporting and embarrassing ājournalists.ā

Guys, this question led to one of the best moments of the entire press conference, with Petey dryly saying, “It’s great.” There’s a reason why everyone laughed. And J.T.’s comments about them being very different people but having the common ground of being ultra-competitive were great too.
Their relationship is something that both of them have talked about this season and it was well worth asking how it has progressed this season.

I love how prickly Petey is lol, I don’t think he likes the media much.

Well spoken. Miller is great in front of BS media questions and they handled that well

I love JT Miller.

I think Farhan reads WAYYYY too much into locker room drama stuff. I like him, but he could really yield on those narratives, the āDemko wants outā thing started with him, and it kind of took on a life of its own that wasnāt what he originally was speculating, but still, it was all a weird speculative thing. Heās also always going on about how he doesnāt believe Petey wants to stay and how he doesnāt believe the org can convince him. Genuinely donāt think heās doing it for the views though since he really asks these things, I think itās just a bad habit of making a mountain out of a molehill

These media availabilities are always extremely uncomfortable to watch. They literally look and sound so tortured lol.

If I was a junior reporter and was told I needed to ask that question – Iād be extremely uncomfortable. Thereās people I work with that I donāt have to like. I do my job and they do theirs. This isnāt TeenBeat magazine talking about a boy band, these are grown athletes making millions so we can be entertained.
Personally I feel Farhan went right for the gossip drama and got his sound bite and thatās literally all he cared about.
Whether they get along is irrelevant. Making the goddam playoffs is the point. Still playing in late April instead of having to answer petty bullshit gossip questions is all that matters.

I love how Hronek is looking at Farhan like heās an idiot.
