Jakub Lauko “I’ll fight when I have to” | Bruins Postgame Interview

BOSTON, MA — Jakub Lauko had the first of 3 bruins fights on the night for the Bruins vs the Blue Jackets. Lauko dropped the gloves for his first career NHL fight, against Billy Sweezey.

“I just feel like we were kind of flat. So I think it was a great opportunity, great moment to like get the guys going and get the crowd going,” Lauko said. “I think we scored there right after so I think it paid off and happy that we won. … I will fight when it’s necessary.”

  1. I know this new forum allows me to speak on my thoughts. Lauko is not a fighter, he is tough and willing to stand up for his teammates, if you all remember him in the preseason the year after he was drafted that Gabe charge to his speed over the blue line receiving a pass and sniping the tip blocker side corner. This is not his game and it will not be when he gets his due next year. Good on him. Not his job. Glad he is willing to say this in the media but the goons don't need to watch out for #94 on the Bruins until they trip as he skate dpast them 😀

  2. The correct answer is “I’m happy to be a Bruin, and will do whatever it takes to improve the team”

  3. I really love the 4th line of Lauko, Hathaway and Nosek. Their contributions are greater than what shows up on the scoreboard.
