  1. Really how off has his goal scoring and point totals been from his rookie year in 17-18. According to the graphic not by much. If Jared Mcann becoming a 40 goal guy does not teach us about patience with young players, I don't know what will. He is still a young player to a degree. We should be patient, there is still a lot of potential here with him.

  2. I said we should trade him before he signed that extension, and people were saying Iโ€™m dumb. Look at them now lol, switching teams now that heโ€™s worth a lot less

  3. For the money he simply does not bring enuf to the team. One dimensional player and far too soft. He can score if set up but can't seem to drive play much. At 2-3 million maybe but at almost 7 mill NO just NO.

  4. Since Clutterbuck took him into the boards in his rookie season he hasn't been the same and we should have traded him right away

  5. Tired of watching the rest of the team give away a better scoring chance to try to set up brock for a goal because they are trying to boost his numbers, then he shoots it either wide, at the goalies crest, or flubs it

  6. beggining of the year i was hoping we traded boeser but idk hes grown on me again.. if he picks up his game he should stay

  7. Personally, given the other guns the team has, I kind of like the new playmaker who can check Boesser as a valuable asset for the team. A lot more then Conner Garland who's also payed top 6 tier salary, but producing more like a 3rd liner who can't check very well, but scores more then your average checker. Just not a good fit. Boesser being playmaker to feed guys like Kuzmenko or JT though? Yeah, that can work.

  8. In his rookie year they didn't ask as much of him and let him play how he wanted which put less pressure on him. Once they started asking more from him and tried to round out his game, his goal production dropped. So was it an issue of how he was handled?

  9. Boeser hasn't been the quickest of players, but he's been really rounding out his game ever since he blew onto the scene with his goal scoring in his rookie year. I still think Boeser has more potential to become a long term impact player than Garland, given what we've seen. Garland plays like he works his butt off every shift, but at the end of most shifts, it doesn't seem to amount to much. The only way I can see Garland become a better player is that he becomes a bigger player…which can't physically happen. Boeser can at least improve tangible things, like his skating, and his overall sense of play urgency. And right now, I don't think we'd need to give up extra value to trade away Garland, but we still might need to retain salary or attach an asset to trade away Boeser.

  10. They probably need to get rid of one of Boeser or Gatland – and Myers. I think they were right to trade Horvat though

  11. but the problem is every year is a tough year for him, not only this year, he is underperforming since rookie year @@

As a scorer who paid 6M, under 30 goal is already underachieve no matter how well you play for defence !

In conclusion, BB6 is not a reliable player. In free agents markets, 18 goals scorer only need 2.5-3.5M instead of 6.6M.

  12. I like the fact he wants to be here because I thought there was a time this season where he wanted to be elsewhere. His salary makes him hard to trade so if he's going to be here then let's hope he improves his play until an opportunity comes along to use him to upgrade our defense or something.

  13. If we can get anything beter than a third round pick then we must trade him. Otherwise his contract sucks and basically untradable.

  14. I see Boeser rounding out some other aspects of his game through this season and that can make him an overall more complete player. The tricky part is, he was drafted as a goal scorer/sniper, and his rookie season gave most Canucks fans an expectation that he will be a consistent 30-goal scorer, if not more. I still remain hopeful that he will rediscover his scoring touch, and the fact that he probably has the least trade value among Canuck wingers right now, I think it is best to keep Boeser. It may be blasphemy to say this, but if Kuzmenko is going to garner great trade value, the Canucks should seriously listen to offers for him. As for the overflowing of wingers, Garland would be the one I would want to trade more – his 5-on-5 ability is good, and other teams probably can see that. A winger who only gets 3rd line duties and no PP time having his production is not shabby at all, and can potentially fetch something of value in a trade.

  15. My Buddha, I hope they move Boeser before Garland; Garland, though he looks snake-bitten out there sometimes, is simply A GREAT WORKHORSE, and has talent, even though it doesn't translate to points all the time. But Boeser is NEITHER a workhorse, nor does he score all that much, really. Keep the guy who at least TRIES to use his talent. Garland is the PERFECT professional role-model for every other under-sized Canuck out on the ice, who can't make it on pure talent alone. KEEP GARLAND – GOODBYE BOESER!

  16. Brock is a reasonable player. But only worth about 3.5 to 4.5 mil a year. Rounding out his overall abilities will be helpfull. Good luck to Brock for his future.
