Today we’re discussing a few Montreal Canadiens news and rumours, specifically talking about a few interesting names. Firstly we discuss the possibility of CSKA Moscow defenceman and Alexander Romanov’s teammate Alexei Marchenko coming to the Habs next season. Marchenko is a guy who recently played for the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs systems, but who had recently found success in the KHL. Secondly we talk about Charles Hudon, and the idea of him possibly leaving the Habs and going to the KHL on the Kazakhstan team, or to the Swiss League (NLA).

Montreal new Russian fort. They just have signed former Nizhnekamsk prospect Arsen Khisanutdinov drafted back in 2019. 13 points in 31 games this past 2 years in KHL. Destroyed the MHL 2 years ago he was drafyed has a double+ year

I like Hudon ,the habs coaching staff are not allowing him to play to his full potential seems like they have been doing this for a long time now with a lot of good players, what the team needs is a good offensive coach and a new manager.
Why need LD more than anything, so it's not like Marchenko will change much in my eyes even if he does make the team

It's a hard no on Marchenko from me. He would be a one, maybe two year flash in the pan at best, and it's not worth curbing Fleury, Juulsen and Brook's development for that..

I'll be honest….the only advantage of bringing in Marchenko is basically as support for Romanov, the Habs do not need help on RD and considering he couldnt really do much for a weaker Wings D core or a weaker Leafs D core i dont know what the point would be, but Kovy can help Romanov…i dunno its meh at best
