  1. What grade would you give the wings on a potential contender scale? Wanna see another team covered? And my P's were hitting HARD today wow

  2. If Yzerman drafted Stamkos that year than the leafs also won the cup. In bizarro world **

  3. You should focus on the bruins next, I feel it’d be interesting to see pretty much the opposite of the redwings a team that’s in a win now position with a future that doesn’t look so good

  4. I saw it all from 1992 onward and I still watch them. I probably watched 60 games this year. I knew back then I was witnessing something special. I knew one day the playoff steak would come to an end. I knew one day they'd have to rebuild. I was under no illusion it wasn't going to last forever. I was watching the night Patrick Roy played his last game for Montreal. I watched the the entire 62 win season. I saw Federov score 5 goals. I got to watch the Russian 5. I saw Yzermans double ot winner. I saw Chris Drapper get his face wrecked. I saw the fight night at the JOE with Colorado. I watched every game in 2001/02. I watched every game in 2007/08. I saw Datsyuk's entire career with many of his highlights. I bleed Red and White and I'll be a diehard Wings fan until I die. The future looks bright and I don't want to miss a moment of it.

  5. Covering the flames mediocrity (especially this year…) and why they've never gotten back to the final since '04 would be an interesting video

  6. Nice compilation of Wings history pre and post Stevie hire. Like what you showed in the in depth analytics. As far as this summer, prepare to be surprised by what this team will look like come Sept. I fully expect some jaw dropping moves at the draft and via trades this summer. Free agent signings–meh-not so much. The brain trust knows all to well they have to get much better if they want to at least pass Ottawa and Buffalo next year.

  7. Killer video rob I’m a life long wings fan stuck around through the dark days of 2017 and bringing in yzerman was probably the best possible thing detroit could ever do yzerman has truly been a game changer and I think if we can keep up this crazy drafting we could be a contender in just a few years

  8. I see a lot of fans around the league shitting on us for how bad we’ve been for 8 years now. None of them know the talent in the background waiting to, and in the process of blossoming. Plus we have 5 picks in the top 50 this year. Exciting time to be a red wings fan right now.

  9. I give it two more years before those above him say put up or shut up. He's been there 4 years and we're no closer to the playoffs now then we were four years ago. Missing the playoffs every single year by 10 plus points not to mention missing all 7 years by that same margin. And he's (Yzerman) responsible for us missing this year. So yeah if we miss these next two years he's gone.

  10. Zetterberg and Datsyuk aren't in the HoF. And Stamkos and Hedman were already in the team when yzerman became the gm. Maybe do research you NPC

  11. It's evident that Yzerman basing Detroit's rebuild around Raymond and Seider age group instead of Larkin's age group. Detroit deserves some lotto luck. Adam Fantilli would be a nice constellation prize.

  12. If players like Kasper, Mazur, Lombardi, Edvinsson, Johansson and Wallinder can play well next year, the entire NHL should be afraid.

  13. We have to be extremely patient. I trust the Yzerplan but if you look at the dominant Wings teams they had Yzerman, Federov and Larionov at center at one point. Larkin would be a 4th line center on that team! We have a ways to go. Larkin isn't even in the same zip code as the first two. I would take Larionov in his prime over Larkin every day. Larionov was an incredible playmaker and made everyone around him better. Larkin, not so much.

  14. You should cover the penguins and show how Ron hextal turned a back to back cup winning team that made the playoffs for 16 straight seasons into a dumpster fire that missed the playoffs and can’t hold a lead to save their life.

  15. News flash!!!!!! Yzerman didn’t draft Stamkos or Hedman, he didn’t become Tampa GM until 2010. Such ignorance
