  1. Ending to this season was appropriate, losses to Chicago and Columbus (meaningless point for OT loss, the cherry on top).

  2. The way they played all season I had a strong feeling that they we're going to choke

  3. Need a GM capable of finding and making "deals" with players and other teams that will improve the team. Complement with an Asst. GM who is well versed in young personnel and prospects. (not sure what Burke actually did . . . position may not be necessary)

  4. Hextall screwed the flyers witch I didn't lose sleep over and then he's screws the pens. The pens should of NEVER brought hextall over.

  5. Sticktoitiveness IS a word, apparently. I looked it up. I tried sharing a link here, but my comment kept getting deleted for some dumb reason.

  6. Shirey said everything I wanted to say about McCann before the expansion draft. He was a very good player here and that 2.9M year just thrown away was appalling, especially after he was a working solution on PP1.
Tanev's contract sucked. They should have just exposed him and Carter. Seattle would not have taken Carter anyway.

  7. Brian Burke's rationale for why Kapanen would have a break out year, because he got a new girlfriend LMFAO, oh lord.

  8. I'm just glad FSG is talking about forward-thinking candidates. Whether it's Dubas (if he doesn't re-sign in Toronto), Tulsky, or whoever, I'm hoping for an analytics-heavy GM. An analytics person would never have Carter, Dumoulin, or whoever else in the fold. There's more to hockey than Corsi and all that stuff. But to not even consider that in your talent evaluation is how you end up trading a 2nd Round pick for Granlund.

  9. I read the online article about the five candidates and I vote for Number 5 based on your article. But i also have a stupid question as a non expert penguin fan: Ron Francis? Is he a candidate too? Too old or bad histor y?

  10. …and I saw Friedman (I think) mentioned Stan Bowman. Dear God! Please, no! No, no ,no! Even putting the horrific Aldrich story aside, I looked at his trade history on CapFriendly. Complete disaster. FSG would be insane to get him… if the NHL even permitted it.

Hopefully that's just clickbait talk, like the Crosby may ask for a trade to Colorado talk, or whatever exactly was said.
