It'd be even more entertaining if it was still Torts v. DeBoer.
After last year, where they barely got by an injured Pens team with a 3rd string goalie in the 1st round, not sure what to expect from them this year. Devils are a young and fast team, so could give Rangers top lines some issues. Hopefully Rangers will be able to advance.
Can’t wait for this series. So many players on each team to like and cheer for. Going to game 3. NYR was my pick to win the cup at the start of the season, so I’ll be cheering for them.

My pick is rangers in 6 because they have more experience but it’s hard to count out Hughes, Hischier, Bratt and Mercer
The rangers have the X factor and that is Patrick Kane. He lives for Playoff hockey and no matter the season he’s having he’ll show up in the playoffs in big moments.
This is the series I'm looking forward to out of the East for sure! Gonna be fast hockey. I think Rangers take it too as they went fairly deep last year and just got better. I wouldn't be upset with this young Devils team though! Puddy!!!
As a Rangers fan, I know this won't be easy. NJ is a fast team that has a no quit mentality just like us. This will definitely be an exciting series, can't wait!
This is a close one. I think more experience and Shesterkin will give the Rangers this one in 7.

I hate this being a 1st round match up.
I’m so terrified as a Ranger fan. Gonna be a heck of a series. Devils are a great team. Some combination of nerves, confidence, anxiousness, and fear. That’s what I feel.
Let’s get real. The rangers are about to dance all over these kids. They’ve been sleeping all year. Eye test shows the playoff effort hasn’t been there at all this season. Now it’s time for them to actually show who they are.

Every expert and personality has discredited the Devils all season. I'm sure they'll be going into this series with something to prove as potentially the best rush team in the league against a team pretty friggin bad against the rush.

Devils in 7. I just have a feeling. Igor hasn't been what he was last season and I like New Jersey's youth, speed and overall talent more than the Rangers.

Nervously cant wait. I think the devs have a better shot than most give them. One negative that i dont see mentioned is the fact that the devils were able to showcase their speed in 3 on 3 ot periods, getting 10 or 11 wins there. That advantage is obviously nullified in the playoffs. And the defensive breakdowns, brain farts, they still havent cleaned that up. So im not mad at the rangers being favorited here, i get it. However, the whole "gotta lose to win" thing i disagree a little there. Until this season these young players have done nothing but lose in nj. I think theyre ready. And as an nj fan, i lean nj, but think this will be 6 to 7 games. Devils showed me up every time i doubted them, not doubting anymore, hah.

Tremendous pressure on NYR, devil's can play for sure are fast but the rangers will find a way in 6. Better goaltending and the rock will be full of rangers fans. Almost like a rangers home game
