I don't think Pasta will get the C when Bergeron retires. The pecking order in the minds of the Bruins contingent here is Marchand and then McAvoy, with Pasta being a perennial "A"
NHL Still Writing Checks it Can't Cash. You can't be paying these players this kinda money in league on verge of going bankrupt. They are not getting money to broadcast games nobody can see or wants to. This contract will not last before another work stoppage via lockout or strike. Hopefully that will limit teams to do 10 percent of cap on contract for that cap hit in year starting. Until then it wont matter. Pastnak is not worth 90 million nor is any NHL player. YOur below even the lowest college sport. The gambling money just drives away fans along with the ads. Having boring games with off sides delaying them another ten to twenty minutes a game. Bruins getting swept in First Round will give time to celebrate President Trophy as EAst won win hah.

I can't say I'm happy that the Bruins have 1 first and no second-round draft picks in the next 3 years. But, the Leafs have 2 firsts and no seconds, the Lightning have no firsts and 1 second, and the Panthers have no firsts and 2 seconds. I guess this is now somewhat normal.

Was worried Sweeney would trade for Bertuzzi when Hall and Foligno were injured:( Bertuzzi is looking like a typical power forward who experiences a rapid loss in production in his late 20's because of wear ant tear.
He will definitely help this year if healthy, but losing the 1st round pick is going to hurt in 24 or 25 because it should be a high one based on what this team may look like by then.

I think a lot of Penguin fans aren't realizing that Hextall knows the Pens don't have what it takes to win a cup anymore, he's not going to sell the future away for another 1st round exit. He's keeping his first round picks and mostly grabbing up extra picks once in a while – they barely have anything worth talking about in the AHL. He's trying to build for the future while giving the fans enough to keep going to the games for. Fenway Sports Group basically told him that he was fired if he was going for a full rebuild, so he's walking a tightrope.

As a Detroit fan Calgary would've been a good spot. They need offense, and their 1st next year could be very valuable if they continue to not put it together. Boston's will still be mid 20s

My expectaions for Hextall were low but holy shit
Bertuzzi may only have 4 goals this year but don't forget that Hall only had 2 goals and like 8 assists in something like 34 games then in 16 with Bruins had 8 goals 7 assists something like that, so with the better team with more talent around him I think Bertuzzi can get on a roll, don't forget his 32 goals in 68 games during shortened season few years ago but we'll see
In my NHL23 Bertuzzi was not interested in an extention but I offered him one anyway, like $2M under his asking price, and he signed. lol

I disagree I think that once Bergeron retires, it will be a similar situation to the Avalanche where MacKinnon is not the captain. I think it would most likely go to Charlie McAvoy or Taylor Hall.

Wings fan here. Bert was my favorite. I absolutely hate that Stevie traded him, although I understand why. You Boston fans are going to love him. Guess Iโm rooting for Boston now. At least he didnโt go to the maple leafs.
