One hockey-loving teenager is well on his way to a future law degree, thanks in part to one of his favorite players.
After the Rangers completed their regular season with a 3-2 loss to the Maple Leafs on Thursday night at the Garden, captain Jacob Trouba gave the jersey off his back ā and signed it ā to beaming 18-year-old Isaiah MĆ”rquez-Greene.
The Rangersā veteran defenseman presented MĆ”rquez-Greene, a self-identified fan of the blueliner dating back to his days with the Winnipeg Jets, with the Garden of Dreams Inspire Scholarship, which will go toward paying for law school once he completes his undergraduate degree.

This is what a captain is about. Not just if he can play the game like a star or if he can score the most or have the most assists but itās whether or not heās a leader. And that was on full display last night. Trouba is a great man.ā¤š
