The 2013 NHL Playoffs marks the sixth time Detroit and Anaheim will meet in the potseason. Detroit won the first two meetings in1997 (4-0) and in 1999 (4-0). Anaheim won the next two in 2003 (4-0) and in 2007 (4-2). The last meeting in 2009 was won by Detroit (4-3).
