A classic. I watch this race over and over again especially when I need motivation. I’ve been a huge fan of Yohan Blake since this very race and have followed him throughout his very lustrous career

In this sport it's hard to top the adrenaline you feel from a hyped Penn Relays crowd!
the original video is still on youtube. I watch atleast a few times a year. the fact Nellum and Blake were the top sprinters in their countries make it like a movie.
You won't see collegiate athletes cheering for a high school race too often! This was one of them. This is my all-time favorite HS 4×400 at Penn. Also loved the Obea Moore anchored races.

Blake’s split was hella fast.
I was in the stands and when I tell you it was the race of the meet… IT WAS THE PREMIER RACE OF THE ENTIRE WEEKEND. Great race.
And to think that some stupids who are new to tracks in Jamaica are calling for High School Athletes to Boycottt Penns Relay and Carifta where these two events will be their biggest internationally.
