Not surprising to see those 3 names considering how competitive they are. IIRC Studnicka talked about spending a summer in Boston because the Bruins asked the players to remain in town to train and said it was really helpful (pretty clear looking at the standings lol), so hopefully they will be able to do it here

Wonder if the Canucks saw what Seattle did last year, and want to emulate that.

For those who were not following the Kraken, their players started camp before they had to, and they played each pre-season game like it was a a regular season game, playing mostly regulars and actively trying to win. It was crazy, they had d-men playing 25+ min and were calling timeouts with less than 2 minutes to go.

This is the culture Bieksa was talking about

I mean, they’ve had like 8 seasons of long summers. It’d be nice if they got started early. Lol.

Paid professionals should be ready to go from day one, not gradually work up to it throughout the season.

Holy fuck this is such a nice breathe of fresh air.

Awesome! I feel like training in the summer with zero pressure would also be way better for building relationships and chem with teammates. Sounds like it might be hard to connect wt people in the season with mounds of pressure on you and being very busy.

With the Russians seemingly staying around for the summer having a nucleus of guys around them as well would do wonders for chemistry and preparing for what should be an impactful season.

  10. What Tocchet has said too, nothing in this league comes for free or easy. You have to fight and work hard for everything you get out of this league. Demko made mention of returning early too during the post-season interviews.

Meanwhile Boeser is setting up as much shinny as he can.
