[O’Connor] Briere confirms that they won’t be signing Jay O’Brien. They’re still trying to figure out whether the second round comp pick will be this year or next, though. NHL hasn’t confirmed it, apparently.

Posting because there was confusion in here about this recently. Apparently even the NHL hasn’t figured it out! Fingers crossed that it’s this year.
