Luke Schenn: The Human Eraser



The first half of Luke Schenn’s season was pretty disappointing coming off of last years surprise success. The fabled “sophmore slump” managed to knock his game down a notch. That all changed around the time Phaneuf showed up. His shot seemed far more lethal, his positioning was more sound and his defensive awareness returned to where it once was. I look forward to seeing him grow with this team. How he manhandles veteran players at his age is impressive. As he gets older and stronger, he’ll be one scary motherfucker. The human eraser lives up to his billing.

I haven’t really had much time to sit down and edit lately. However I was able to find enough time these past few days to whip together this video. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to give Schenn the same treatment I gave Phaneuf. A video like that takes far too long to make, haha. Anyway, expect another video within the next few weeks.

And one last thing, the amount of positive feedback I’ve received over the past month is astounding. So I’d like to say thanks, Leafs nation, for taking the time to watch my videos.

    Very good trade. I hope JVR fucking shines for you guys. He's an unpolished gem that is going to much bigger than what our team has seen him to be.

    I loved JVR but at the same time we saw so much of the last season played without JVR that I dont think ill even miss seeing him on the ice because ive gotten so used to it being otherwise

    I want to thank toronto for wanting this guy traded. Former flyers win cups where ever they go. JVR was good at times and he could be great but the flyers needed a replacement for pronger. The devils play boring hockey

    I'm a Flyers fan so i'm trying to get excited about this guy… I really liked JVR but as some are saying on here, we need someone to replace Pronger or at the least fill up the second line and put Meszaros up to replace Pronger.

    I really hope they pair Schenn with Grossmann, I really do. Opposing players would think twice about bringing the puck into the corners. Those two men just paste people into the boards with ease.

    luke is only 22 so hes got time to get better but he is a team player always sticks up for his teammates and he will lay guys out that being said he isnt very mobile

    We need this kid to become a better version of Adam Foote and Ken Daneyko. I am not sure if it is possible. Come on Luke, get it together and we will love you in Philly.
