I agree with the fact that the pick isn't a huge loss, but I think the asset utilization has been a bit off going back to the slight overpays for their FA resignings this summer all the way to this trade. These very slight overpays that individually aren't a big deal are cumulatively adding up & I think that is where a lot of the discontent from the fanbase is coming from. I think that most would have rather had this pick to package for a more substantial piece. Just my two cents on why people are feeling the way they are, but I am wrong often enough to know that I could be wrong here too.
The ambiance of the rink is nice but choosing to record this directly against the glass during shooting practice was not a good decision. It was very distracting and made it difficult to hear what you were saying.
He's a great fit on a number of fronts. Great breakdown. All the people complaining don't know jack about Eller or how to evaluate players like our FO does
This says little about Newhook or Meyers going forward. It's just a solid different extra piece for this season. Meyers was clearly a year or two away, Newhook is amazing but hasn't been a 2nd line center, is more effective still on the wing. We now have huge options and depth. We can put together a shut down line if we want now, or survive an injury or two better, all is well.
Newhook on the trading block? or moving him on wing?

And those 2 glaring holes still exist cuz they didnt do squat after this…yet Jesse still tried sucking up to them,after saying they needed to address them. This didnt age well at all,as they practically guarantee us the Avs werent done.
I didnt expect them to address top 6 forward…but to not get a depth 6/7 dman,for like 4th round pick-that has almost no chance of ever playing in the nhl-was flat out irresponsible. Especially wirh EJ,& Manson out,& the injury issues Makar,& Byrum have had.
