IMPULSE – A WNDR Alpine Short – Backcountry Skiing on Skis Made with Algae

As skiers we rely on our instincts, we meticulously plan, we scrutinize every detail and expect the world of the plans we put in place. Our ability to alter these plans can only be manipulated so much before our impulsive nature overrides our senses and we just go for it.

Armed with adequate knowledge, trust in our partners, and comfort with assessing conditions, we converged on the Tetons with Pep, Benny Schmitt, Tyler Miller, Lily Krass and Carson Meyer. What was intended to be colder temps and fresh snow, turned to warming and overcast skies.

Instead of tucking tail, we embraced the challenge, accepting our impulsive decision and turning our lemons into lemonade.
