  1. I still buy Powerball and Megamillions when it's worth over a billion… I always hope… I'll take 3% anyday…

  2. Canucks last great year was 10-11. They have the 11th spot and will jump 10 slots to win their hometown phenom, Connor Bedard. The numbers don't lie.

  3. The only way this happens is if Connor Bedard has seen how Eric Lindros was drafted. 🤣. But that’s not happening because of the NHLPA. Granted, even if it did, it wouldn’t fix the Canucks problems. He’s not a defenseman. The Canucks have tried to outscore their problems for 2 seasons and all they’ve done is screw themselves out of a high draft pick just to convince season ticket holders that they’re a playoff team next year. There’s a sucker born every minute.

  4. I'd say we need some overdue lottery luck in detroit, but we have #19 and we will get us what we need anyway.

  5. Avs fan here. Don't ask me, Avs got screwed 2 times in the lottery in like a few years but both picks turned out amazing. One of them won Norris and Conn Smythe

  6. I think what people don’t understand is that people’s jobs are on the line. Players and coaches can’t just stop trying. Hockey is their life literally without it they won’t be able to make a living. I don’t think fans can ever understand what is truly at stake for when they want their team to purely tank.

  7. At this point, I am ok with trading away all our 1st round picks for the next 7 years (2023-2030), just to get Bedard. Yes I am that desperate. For sure not the wisest move, but I am just very disappointed as a fan. This mismanagement has no idea what they are doing. And honestly, with this mismanagement, they would just end up trading away our 1st round picks for OEL #2 and Myers #2 and give them $8 million contracts anyways. Might as well get Bedard instead, at least every fan here wants him.

This team has no foresight at all, everything is about winning now, which only leads to consistant 9-11th place finishes, so we only make the playoffs once every 10 years. And even if we make the playoffs, our only hope was a quick 1st round exit? That's why this team is hopeless. Aquaman was just lucky because we already got the Sedin twins to play for us for 2 decades, before he even came into the picture.

Getting Bedard will at least give the fans something to hope for. With Bedard, we can hopefully become a container by maybe 2030, and we will fight for the Cup from 2030-2040. Right now it just feels so hopeless that it is very hard to cheer and pay attention to the Canucks. The more you tried to cheer and pay attention, the more hurt you end up getting.

Yes of course I love the guys like EP40 and AK96 and Hughes. But we aren't nearly enough for the Cup. Not even close.

  8. this team is married to the mushy middle, it's in their dna. they drafted 2nd and 3rd overall one year and built a cup finalist. don't want to do that again!

  9. Blues fan, we also have a 3% chance at drafting Bedard, so we also have that going for us, which is nice

  10. 11 is where the 3rd tier ends. After that it's a crapshoot. At 11th we get Moore, Cristall or Leonard.

  11. Say we tank what's stopping EP 40 from not signing a extension with the canucks.

Sure Connor Bedard is a franchise player and maybe the canucks are stupid for not purposefully losing.

But telling a player who wants to win nah you gotta play like crap here on out.

I don't know if he would want to stick around anymore.

  12. What are the chances we draft Michkov? That’s the only player I want drafted for the Canucks

  13. Canuck fans complaining. My god grow up. You sitting here acting like Anaheim and San Jose has ever had a first overall pick. Answer is no! We haven’t! We’re in same boat as you

  14. We weren't going to win this lottery anyway. We've never won ANY lottery, including the one that only had two teams in it. Lol. Just be happy that this is a deep draft year. We should still get somebody decent.

  15. No no no no no. Vancouver doesn't need Bedard. Send him to Chicago, help Chicago get their love back to their Fans and you know how!!!

  16. I think all teams that don't make the playoffs should go into a lottery and just pick each team with equal chance.
