Coaches and Players had all season to make the power play better. Playoffs a power play is super key. Devils need to block shots and passes better. Don't be to fancy skating shooting the puck is more important. LGD!!
TWO SHOTS, on THREE power-plays? They didn’t test Shesterkin AT ALL, and this wasn’t just a game-one loss, it was flat-out embarrassing. The Rangers seem to have you figured out, in a single game. Yes, I know, I know…it’s ONE game. The problem is, they gave us ZERO to get excited about, for the next game.
wayyy too cute with the puck. Also, idk what the defensive strategy on the pk was…it was a shooting gallery. HOWEVER our boys were throwing out hits and making sacrifices. no playoff experience shows and theyll find their groove. love this group!go get em fellas
Series is over. Just hope they don’t get swept and that someone beats the Rangers along the way so we don’t have to listen to their fans’ mouths all summer.
Devils show up like this Game 2, they're getting swept. Get the kid Schmid in there, throw the body around more, stop sitting back and attack on the PK and get disciplined! Ruff has zero to do with their success this season but will certainly be their downfall. These holes have been in their game all season. Now they matter. And they're not getting fixed in the playoffs. It's too late. See ya next year!
Let's remember, just for comparison, the inexperienced Rangers were down to the Penguins 3 games to 1 last year, after losing games 3 and 4 by combined 14-6, and came back to win. I can easily see NJ being down in this series and winning it. They've been resilient all year. They had their looks. They'll make adjustments.
Take out Wood. Play Lazar and Rango for D. Palat and Meier have to show up. Didn't see much of Bratt either. But Wood makes too many bonehead plays and takes too many stupid penalties.
Casual hockey fan but devil fan. Thought this was a bad matchup. Too physical and they have the goalie. Was understandable why everyone was picking the rangers to win the series. Super young team let's see if they can fight.
More urgency towards their net and better pick management…oh and don’t blow 2 power plays at the start of the game and then give up the first goal! Next game is a new slate
Bahl wasn't physical at all. Put Luke in the fucking lineup and stop playing games, kid can keep up with any of the rags and is the most gifted skater either team has on defense. Utilize him.
