  1. Man as a neutral person in this game, there’s no way they conclusively call that a goal, and even if it’s a goal how is it not goalie interference?

  2. 8 Tampa players pushing the goalie pad with their sticks…

  3. Leafs Radio says losing tonight was good for the team on Post Game. The Sweep is gone. Leafs in 5

  4. The puck is clearly touching the red of the post… meaning it never fully crossed.
Book the reviewer an optometrist appointment ASAP

  5. Not a fan of either team, that looked like inconclusive so they went with the call on the ice.

  6. As someone who loves to watch leafs Nation in disarray there's no way that should have counted. That's the nhl and being a Canadian franchise.

  7. Good thing the refs got two chances to review this so they could get it so totally wrong both times. 🤮

  8. Lost all my respect for wes mccauley tonight… Dude has a clear vendetta against the leafs:
    From a hockey feed …

One of the referees for game #1 will be none other than Wes McCauley.

He's known for his legendary calls on the ice, but he's also not on the best terms with Sheldon Keefe.

Long story short, a couple of years ago, Keefe testified in a hearing against McCauley's brother-in-law, who are very close.

Remember when Keefe was fined because he screamed at a ref? Well, it was also McCauley.

On top of all that, the Lightning haven't lost a game with McCauley on the ice.

Everything points to the fact that he could swing the game in the Lightning's favor. We will see if the NHL referees are as unbiased as Bettman says.

  9. That's a goal…. despite EVERYBODY'S Lying eyes. Lol
How tf do they say that crossed the line definitively?? Refs are so brutal in this league…🤣😂😂🤣

  10. Sportsnet did u all a disservice. There was an angle from the camera in the back of the net. They didn't show it once. If they would have tho, it shows very clearly the puck crosses the line completely and then a TOR stick pull it out the net

  11. Was called a goal. I don't think it was fully over. Or conclusive. But since it was called a goal on the ice. It'll stand.

  12. Wes McCauly is a disgusting piece of crap. It was obviously not a goal and it never crossed the line entirely.

  13. Apparently Perry stayed on the ice after warmups the longest. Usually its marner and matthews for superstition. But Perry threw them off their game before it started. He was in their heads before the game even started lol. 🤡🤡

  14. That was literally goaltender interference. That's not a goal! THAT'S LETHARGIC! THAT'S A TERRIBLE CALL!

  15. Wah wah wah!!!! Cry me a river laugh nation, YOU BLEW IT!!!! As usual. Nice way to treat your fans. 😂

  16. blah blah blah…..like it would of made a difference for the leafs if it was disallowed…who cares.

  17. I’m all in on Tampa but—I don’t think this one should’ve counted! 🤷🏼‍♂️👀

  18. I absolutely hate the leafs, and love watching them lose. There is absolutely no way that goal should have counted. The bias against Canadian teams is alive and well so far in days 1 and 2 of the playoffs

  19. An entirely new goaltending controversy in Toronto! I'm guessing Keefe will be fined following his post-game assessment of the officials…

  20. Wes McCauley ref'd gm5 vs Columbus, gm6 and gm7 vs tampa last yr and last night… all leaf loses and Wes's brother in law is disgraced agent Dave Frost…… but no conflict of interest there.

  21. A corrupted league with a president suffering advancing Parkinson's desease holding on to his job faaaaaar too long.

  22. How do you stand a chance when powerhouse teams come to Toronto and play the poor innocent little victims against a team with a 56 year cup drought and the refs buy it?

  23. So since the it was called a goal by the official, the review has to find conclusively that it was not in. If the answer is that they cant tell either way, the call on the ice stands. Had it been called no goal on the ice, im sure on review it would have been called no goal, because its inconclusive. This is why you celebrate if you think you might have scored, you might just convince the officials you did, too.

  24. Man I thought the red wings had it bad with the refs back in their prime days.
As long as hook nose Bettman is in charge you won’t see a Canadian team win, you’ll see them in the finals though.

  25. Not that it mattered in the long run, but uh… that puck never went in. Or at least there was never absolute proof that it crossed the line. You can't just "think" it's in. That's not how the rule works.

  26. In a situation like this, they should have the specific camera angle that proves it went over the line to play on the jumbo-tron when they make the call. If they can tell it went over the line, I'd like to see the proof. I'm not even a Leafs fan, I just find that call questionable. Not that it would have impacted who won this game.

  27. this is insane. It's literally touching the red post, which means it isn't over the line. I cannot for the life of me see how they concluded it went over. That is garbage call.

  28. The league needs to explain how a puck touching the post is crossed the line. The Leafs were never goign to win this game, they didn't really get screwed but what if that was game 7 in OT for the cup? Some how, some way there has to be some sort of goal line technology better than just a camera because thats a goal that should have never counted.
