Poverty franchise?
Senators Smart Enough to Draft Stutzle Trade for Chychrun so Smarter Than LA who will be back trying to win Draft Lottery. Instead of having guy Scoring 40 Goal they take Bustfield who can't even score 4 on First line shooting lowest percentage on team. Simply can't score even at Ryan REaves level who had like 6 goals. Ottawa made mistake of Talbot in Net along with Forsberg getting injured. I don't know who they get as I can't see Jarry getting the job done maybe a cheaper option like JOnes or a scrub like Korpisalo after Edmonton takes care of LA. Buffalo is emerging along with Florida improved by getting Tkachuk while ditching refuge like HUbedeau who was carried to 85 assists on a team even DuClair can score 30 or more goals ;).
Despite everything
Ottawa is still a team
Everyone criticized the Hawks for the Debrincat trade, but I think we ended up on the right side of it.
They should be better next year

My only concern with the Sens for next year is can our core guys stay relatively healthy all season play 70+ games each

Does Ottawa look at a Carter Hart-type goalie? Not that Philly would ever consider it, but Hart's a solid goalie on a BAD team.
Does Ottawa take a shot at Blackwood? He'd be more risky, but more likely available.
I'll keep pounding the John Gibson drum until he's traded.
Be nice to see Norris back for a full, healthy season. Pinto was playing above his station and the return of Norris will provide more scoring throughout the lineup. Chychrun can’t stay healthy, true, so keep branny on a bridge deal. I think Ottawa can improve, but it probably happens only with a new coach who can get them out of the gate with intensity and drive.
Injuries crippled this team in addition to that slow Nov this season. Bad combo for a young team.
Funny how Gustafson would look good in Ottawa or Pittsburgh now
slow starts have all be determined by major injury issues; if no such issues then they will likely have the opposite early season and as expected will finish about 15 points higher thus a strong playoff positioning. For me the western Canada tour simply has to be a better set up. That is arriving earlier and not playing a travelling back to back as usual.
