Although the Leafs were down, they had a chance. Until Bunting did the brutal hit on the Tampa player. The thing is, Bunting is known for his dirty hits. Every referee and linesman knows this. So, despite being frustrated with the way the game is going, he does that cheap hit anyway. After that, it was all Tampa. Bunting is only good for a benchwarmer. He can be a good player. But hopefully he gets suspended for the rest of the series after that hit. I predict a first round exit for the Leafs. Hopefully, I'm wrong. Only time will tell.

A few of them they’ve stormed back and won four straight (Islanders 2016, Bruins 2018, Bruins 2020). Checking out after one period and booing the team off the ice is some toxic Leaf fan behavior.
I feel for Leafs fans. Oakland A's fan (also Raiders and Sharks lol) and they are 3-15 in their last 18 playoff series or something like that. So I can 100% relate to the game 1 loss and "Here we go again", "better luck next year" etc, etc.
I'm not a leafs fan, but I am rooting for them. If they can't get past the first round this year, I think they just have to admit that it's not going to work, unfortunately.

Try rooting for the Wild that have never even made the finals and everyone refuses to give credit for having at least equally good goal tending to Dallas because everyone goes all dewy-eyed and weak-kneed about Oettinger.
