Hasn’t this sub been saying he’s signing for weeks? Doesn’t look like it.

It is what it is…if he signs great…if not so be it

I fail to see a better place for him than here though. Granato has a strong history of giving young guys opportunities…we also have a need for defensive D…and our farm system at worst is thin at that position

I see no way he gets a better opportunity or a shot at a long career than here

Kid can go pound sand at this point. If you don’t want to be here and compete especially as a rookie then get lost

Would prefer that second rounder at this point. Levi was a question mark not that long ago and now he’s part of the team. Seems like the most likely scenario is he just doesn’t want to play in Buffalo? As somebody with no talent, I like to think I’d play with the team that drafted me, but we whiffed on Vesey and I don’t regret (most of) it. Were I in RJ’s shoes, I’d think top 4 next to OP would be a nice place to land, but, I think we have a lot of capital in Joki/UPL/VO and possibly a second rounder to go out and get a guy that is OP’s Sammy. Could be Borgen for all I know lol. Seems to me that he just doesn’t want to be here and since we never longer have a GM that step on rakes, a la Simpsons, we will be completely unaffected.

The bottom 3 of the d corps is pretty intimidating so I can see why he wouldn’t want to sign /s

If this dude doesn’t think he’s gonna beat out our bottom 4 defenseman than maybe go somewhere else

I’m Of the Mindset of piss off if you want to make demands and are giving indicators of not wanting to be to for the organization.

    Tired of his drama.

Adams is totally ready to take that compensation pick lol

With NSH being my other hockey team, I got to live through the Vesey situation twice. My instinct is let the kid walk, take the pick. Keep the good vibes going here that we have going and see what the free agency market has to offer for more defensive depth.

    The rule is very stupid….

But if as a player, you are 2 months away from being able to pick wherever you go, and maybe into a better spot, then you do that.

I’ll take my 2nd. Thanks for the memories bud

I’ll give the kid some slack and be understanding that since he is in a position to decide himself, take your time.
However I can’t help but get some Portillo-esque prima donna vibes happening here. Locker room vibes are really important and if he’s coming in with some sort of chip, I’d just rather not.

I don’t understand what He and his agent are thinking though. The teams that will guarantee NHL ice time will be the bottom 6-7 teams in the league? You’d rather go there than a team that has an upward trajectory and grow with a young core?

Is it money/contract? I don’t know…..you have to earn it….and if the conversation is that he is making demands…..as an armchair GM I’m just not looking for a headache.

Great if he signs, if he comes in humble, wanting to develop and wants to be here. Anything less, 2nd round pick it is. Then we work him over every time we play him in the future 😎
