    As an Islanders fan, this was a tough outcome to swallow. First canes goal was a big mistake by the rookie Bolduc. Second goal was a simply ridiculous bounce off Aho’s stick and Sorokin was looking for the dump in. The third was an honestly great shot by the Canes player.
    I thought we played a great game, and despite being on the penalty kill for 20% of the game I think we had a lot more good scoring chances than the Canes.
    And the ending was just awful, an obvious missed high stick against Mayfield, and when they bring the puck back into the zone the Canes player is able to send an easy pass through Mayfield to his teammate.
    Great game to watch nonetheless, and I think we should have much better luck at home on Friday!

    2 nothing is good but you can't quite take it to the bank just yet. Next game: very big.

    Sorokin is elite, but if he stays with the Isles he's gonna have to change his name to Sorrow-King. That own-goal by Aho really did him in.

    And even with the Isles gooning it up, they're still no match even for a Canes team missing one of their biggest pieces (Svech). They'd have been better off tanking for a chance at Bedard.

    NY can't let them get so many prime scoring chances, could've been more goals, they gotta tighten up defensively, they still hung in there.

    Carolina doesn't need any help scoring goals, the Islanders sure don't need to help! Hope the Isles can get their act together. The Hurricanes are playing very well.

    Isles could have easily won this game and showed resilience coming back 0-2. Coaching staff has to tell them they're right there with the Canes and if they win game 3 they are right back in it.

    Не день Сорокина 😥 Одна курьёзная шайба, одна читерская шайба (та, что залетела после броска Слэвина в маску Сорокина). Но зато атака Айлендерс показала, что может забивать больше 2х шайб и этого могло хватить для победы, но сегодня не повезло

    Isles could have easily won this game and showed resilience coming back 0-2. Coaching staff has to tell them they're right there with the Canes and if they win game 3 LGI the outcome was tough to take
