  1. He was only trying to get separation and he misjudged the distance. How this is a suspension while Dumba's clear intent to injure is a 2 minute minor is beyond comprehension

  2. Three game ! thats a little much one tops we all have seen bigger hits and they get nothing that hit hasn't that bad to cost 3 games

  3. He did much more harm than good to the Leafs in that game. He might have drawn a penalty but he also took a really stupid penalty and now a 3 game suspension. As for "they can tame him a little bit"… I assumed as an analyst you would know this but they have been trying to tame Bunting the whole year.

  4. what a joke! nhl is fixed! im know convinced! where are the comparables? 3 games? the nhl doesnt need the leafs to succeed, its all about growing the game south of the border to keep getting national tv deals! every leaf game has make-believe penalties.. i seen Bunting get slashed in the face, twice, blatantly ,drawing blood?,no calls?

  5. A hitman is hired by and paid by someone. No penalty for the coach? The GM? The Owner?

  6. He should have 5 games to send a clear message to all the other players

  7. No way. It should be the same suspension from the Clifford suspension.

  8. No Way. It's not fair at all. Doesn't matter LAUGHS in 5 anyway. Go LAUGHS Go

  9. So if the league is fair and consistent, Nosek should get 3 games for elbowing Staal in the head. There was no call so prolly wont get suspended. and now bertuzzi is going after cousins. where are the calls and suspensions?

  10. 3 is high, I know the snow flakes may disagree "He could of killed him!!!" that was a soft hit at best to the head, 1 game would of been acceptable.

  11. It’s not enough punishment if Cernak isn’t back in 3 games. Also, the Lightning responded big time after his actions so he could possibly come back, cause another major penalty and cause another Lightning boost to end the series.

  12. the fact it was deliberate act to injure 3 in the playoffs might be fair except he is dirty and player safety seems 2 protect dirty players..PSC needs new head and cleaned out

  13. Isn't Bunting the sort of "grit and sandpaper" the Leafs were always missing come playoff time? Well, you get what you ask for and you get it, because you asked for it. Doesn't matter if you think it is fair, just deal with the consequences.

  14. Wow. The nhl has gone soft. I am thinking a 2 minute penalty for interference or elbowing. Looked like nothing to me.

  15. He's a distraction and a liability. The Leafs have better players in their system waiting for a call up. I hope that's the last we see of this squirrely doofus.

  16. To me that was not an intentional elbow to the chin. It kind of seemed accidental. Oh well it is what it is. That would have been a minor hit back in the Broad Street Bullies day. I've seen much tougher hits when I played junior hockey back in the early 70's.

  17. Three game for an elbow and yet Kane almost runs a player through the boards from behind, leaves his feet to add to the force and isn’t even given a penalty. Players react to game conditions and when the refs refuse to do their job fairly and equally it leads to rightful frustration players on the receiving end of blatant referee bias.
I think the refs should be suspended when they blatantly refuse to call a game fairly.
