Oct. 12, 2013 – Black Hawks vs. Storm

For the first time this season, the Tri-City Storm opened the doors of the Viaero Event Center to the Waterloo Black Hawks. The two foes of the Western Conference has a see-saw battle, exchange goals before heading into an eventual shootout. Austin Poganski, the North Dakota commit for the Storm, scored his first goal of the season. It wasn’t that long after that when Thomas Aldworth, the Providence commit, stole a puck off a turnover and cashed an opportunity of his own for his first goal of the season. The two goals propelled the Storm to a shootout after goaltender Jacob Johansson made 53 saves, but one in particular that kept the game alive. Waterloo scored the lone shootout goal and took home 2 points. The Storm fell to 2-1-2 on the season. #BelievePurple by following the Storm on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram all season long.
