If Will Smith is gone before the 5th pick, Montreal could possibly trade down since they really need a top line right defenseman such as Reinbacker but it is way too early at 5th for him. By draft day, his stock might have gone up so he could very well get picked top 10 since there are not that many good right defensemen in this draft…every team needs good defensemen especially "righties"!!!

Targeting CBJ for a trade is a great strategy. Another possibility: If Chicago's plan is to build over three or four years, Michkov may be in their sights. Chicago could accept an offer from the Habs because Michkov would still be available at MTL's pick.
I'm convinced Leo Carlsson tickles Bobrovski and Lapointe's ambition. If advancing isn't possible, Reinbacher added to Guhle, Harris, Barron, Mailloux… will make the Habs a stronghold on the blue line for many years to come.
